Every month each Gravel Collective chapter hosts a well-organized monthly ride. While newer chapters may have limited distances as they get started, more established chapters will have 3 distances and routes available. The shortest distance will always be no drop!

After each ride, we congregate with potluck-style snacks and drinks to build the bonds of our community.

Each quarter every chapter provides a free, educational workshop best suited to the needs of their communities. We work with local businesses and experienced community members to provide an experience where everyone walks away with new knowledge and/or a new perspective.

Some of our previous workshops have centered around intro to gravel, how to load routes, bikepacking, maintenance, and more.

It’s not gravel all the time. Gravel bikes are the catalyst, but we are all about community. We enjoy hosting events away from the gravel to spend some time in the city.

One of our favorites is a local family & dogs ride followed by s’mores! Each chapter will have something a little different. We’re always open to fun suggestions.

Sometimes 1 ride a month isn’t enough! All of our extra gravel rides are considered pop-ups. We value the time and energy our leaders put into the monthly rides and don’t want to burn anyone out.

Pop-ups are extra rides that leaders or trusted members can organize. These are drop rides, so bring a friend to pace with. Alternatively, you can chase the fast folks or enjoy the route on your own.

We encourage all chapters to go bikepacking. However, each chapter will prefer different times of the year based on local weather.

No purists here. We are happy to bikepack between local state parks and stop for food along the way. Some groups may want to carry all their food with them and depend only on what they can carry. Some may wish to “credit card camp” by bikepacking between hotels. You get to define your adventure! It’s all valid.
